It has been a while, had life happen for the past few months. Never had the book far from my thoughts....the characters wouldn't let that happen anyway! Well, i've completed my sponsorship letter and will begin that new journey soon! i've also completed the prologue and pretty sure i'm done with chapter one!
I'll keep you all posted!
After watching the bravery of my 9 year old son in the giant dentist chair during his first extraction, i reflect back on the fears i had as a child and think ahead to what the next year will bring with the dentist. With excess of 12 extractions, numerous fillings and lots and lots of cleaning to be done on our family, i hope the rest goes as well as this one did!
You are THE DUDE my son!!!!!
Mommy couldn't be any more proud of you without bursting into pieces!
With two kids home sick today....one with an infected tooth, the other...an earache, i suspect that the characters will have to wait until mommy can get these poor kids feeling better! The Tid is quite upset about all the special treatment my little chipmunk is getting. I simply told him that when his turn comes to have a tooth extracted, i'm gonna remind him that this is what he was wishing for!!!!
Sitting here in my bedroom, my family spread about from one end to the other. took alot to get to this moment, but well worth the visit to times past and a walk through the present...hope it never ends! Sis and Bro-in-laws visiting and so is Bree! Tomorrow is a bonfire at the cave and Sunday.....DISNEYLAND!!!!
Sitting here listening to the sounds of my family enjoying each other and laughter, i realize how much i love them. Everything in my life that makes it hard....makes my love for them grow even stronger!
Hug the ones you love as soon and often as you can....it's healing for your soul!
So, the schoolyear has begun and so has scouts! So far my schedule stands as this:
Volunteering at school: Tues, Wed and Thurs in each o the
kids classes: about 6 hrs
Scouts: Weekly meetings on Mon, Tues and Thurs,
Monthly on tues.....this does not included
Den/Troop Activities which number about 3 per kid
per month!
I also have to go to dental appointments with my boys almost on a weekly basis for a couple of months til all is well with them there! Orthodontists will be visited too this month!
Between the kids, the animals, the house and everything else......i'm gonna write when!!!!
I'm putting the kids first in this one but i do make time every day to spend on my dream! Writing seems to come when it comes....
Thank you guys for all your positive feedback! It gives me hope that i'm going in the correct direction.
I am offically putting this site up tonight! What an extraordinary feeling!
All of my youngest children are in scouts. Tonight was one of the monthly pack meetings for my boys. Even through the loud screaming and teams of boys and a few girls running all around, it is well worth the effort! Worth the driving everywhere, kids getting sick, kids getting impatient, kids not wanting to go after you spent a fortune on the activity they don't want to go to! When your boys both come back so very proud of their achievements, you know that you would do it over, again and again....and then you realize...that you are!
How is it that a simple dental appointment can send my schedule spinning out of control. Nevermind that it took from 9:30 til 1, but why does it have to put my chores behind, my schedule off with the kids homework and of course dinner!
Mom's are super to be able to balance everything in their lives and their family's as well!
A shout out to all you awesome mom's out there!!!!
Spent the whole darn day emptying the kitchen of absolutely everything. Our landlord, i completely appreciate him, but he left us BUGS! Frankly...i'm so tired of anything in the insect genre that i almost take pleasure when i kill one!
Mr Tid was convinced that we were moving AGAIN! We've moved 4 times in as many years, losing my family home built in the late 1800's! One move was was when this landlord wanted to trade houses with us and we moved after only living in that one for eight months! so i can understand my son's trepidation!
After assuring him many, many times that we were not moving just trying to kill all the bugs in the kitchen, he was just fine. In fact...he kept laughing as Butch was spraying under the cabinets that are under the counters and the disgusting bugs would go running for their lives! He kept saying...All you buggies are gonna go down!
Let's hope so....
It's Saturday and Den (my early riser) actually slept in....right through the alarm....that woke me up....so i had to get up and turn it off. when i got back to bed i was wide awake! 6:15 we meet again! Love you den!!!
Do you know how many drops of water a penny can hold? My Littlest of Tids, the youngest boy, asked me this very same question when i met him when school let out. (i take turns with Grandma each day walking them the 12 mins to and from school, even though i think they don't like it! lol) He was quite proud to know information that i didn't, i could see it in the twinkle in his eye! He said, "we did an experiment, and i want you to guess!" He wanted all three of us, my other two kids, to guess. You bet i made them both do it too! oh, it was forty five....and i've seen the experiment about 50 times now! He's sooo Cute!!
My wonderful hubby spent hours on editing a pic for my site, line by meticulous line. I took a pic of him in his shorts only, jean shorts, mind you, and sent the proof of his unconditional support... Needless to say, he wasn't too happy when one of the girls told him he looked good last night!
I'm sorry my love! Promise to think before i send next time!!!
Went to back to school night with the kids...for the second time this week! Another year....wow does time go by ever so fast! My youngest is being bribed by his first grade teacher (Wonderful person!!)to both go to bed and get up in the morning with a positive attitude toward going to school! Now tell me this....what is his college professor going to bribe him with !!!! you have a LONG way to go son, you better find the good in school or ELSE!
Love you, Baby!
The School year has begun in my household. Yay! I take my childrens education quite seriously. I have already begun volunteering and love it! This year, however, my daughter Boo informed me that she is too old, (6th grade) to have me in her classroom. (SIGH) Well, at least i have a few more years with my boys! (but will still be there for my Boo when she needs me!)
I'm finding that my lack of knowledge where anything computer is concerned, is truly slowing my progress with this site! I have decided to post the site at a set date, no matter what is completed and just pull it to work on it as i go! Need to light that fire under my bum...get me going! Now....to set that date.....
Working on the site today. looking forward to posting so that someone can actually see it!
